Depends.  I have two coffee machines - one for a full pot, one for just a cup and I have a press.  The press does make a huge difference, the flavor is very robust and since I like my coffee very hot, it's nice to be able to control the temprature.  If I'm in a hurry, I use my 1 cup machine, if I'm home for the day, the entire pot.
